bored.

get it? I'm bored. Life is too repetitive sometimes. I wake up, go to the same classes, the same job, do the same homework and go to bed. I don't know what it is but I've been in a funk the past couple days....ever since we got home from the Jack's Mannequin concert. Don't get me wrong that was a BLAST but....everytime I go to a concert (or something super fun and exciting like that!) I always come home feeling like my life is so boring.

How cool would it be to be a musician? I love how they speak to people on another level. 

I just have a lyrical soul and would love to speak to people that way:)

I know that's lame to not be grateful for what you have that's why I'm blogging to vent. Tomorrow I'll be okay but for today I'm going to be BORED. 

Maybe there is someone out there the feels the same way I do...I sure hope I'm not alone.

gone huntin! (in your hickest hick voice)

Hunting is a big thing in my family..well kind of. We aren't the kind that go out and stalk the deer or anything but we put in for the draw every year and we look forward to spending the hunt at the family cabin! It's always cold, full of early mornings and deer without any horns:) haha! But my mama cooks great food and I love walking around holding a gun feeling all strong and stuff.

This year Chance wasn't able to be at the cabin for the weekend with us so me and him decided to go out on our own! as we were driving out there we realized we hadn't thought this all the way through.... 

1. we were in a car

2. we didn't have a knife

3. neither of us know how to gut a deer

4. Chance was in vans

5. we only had enough orange for me (we improvised)

Well, it's a dang good thing all we saw were 4 doe. 

Even without a kill we had a blast hikin around. I've turned my little city boy into a hunter. He wanted to shoot the gun so bad, it was so cute! That's my ten year old hubby for ya! haha

now he is doing homework but for that moment life made perfect sense. school is for fools, Chance doesn't think so though and I'm proud of him for all his hard work.

This past week was hard! I won't bore you with the details but this long weekend was much needed! Chance and I decided to make the best of things and this weekend turned out to be WONDERFUL! We ended up going down to St. George on monday, we went to lunch at Chance's favorite Mexican place, then we went to Target and used the rest of our gift cards on each other:) then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond (hate that store) and tried to spend 150 dollars worth of gift cards, guess what we came home with....NOTHING! I don't know what it is but that store just makes me go insane, it is so random and so cluttered! okay enough of that! then we went to The Big Year and loved it! so good. Since it was Chance's day he decided we were going to the pet store...that place stinks! But it was fun to look around at all the animals, the birds were my favorite! then we drove back to Cedar and met up with my family and went to another movie! haha ya we are lame. We went to Real Steel and oh boy was it amazing, that Hugh Jackman is so HOT! We finished off the night with some dinner and The Office....I know it doesn't sound like much but it is a rare occasion when we get to spend the whole day together so it was the most amazing day! I love my sweet husband and I don't know what I would do without him! It's crazy how easy it is to get caught up in your day to day life and not remember to keep the romance alive...good thing that can be fixed with a day of laughter:)

On friday and sat night we helped at the haunted hospital and we had a blast! It was very exhausting but a good time, it's always fun to make grown men cry:) 

It's well worth the money so if you like to get scared you should definitely go! Just watch out for the dead nurse room, I'll get ya!

Well, overall life is good. Sometimes things get me down and I get so overwhelmed with school and work but I love that I come home to the same smiling man every night!

a man of many talents.

my man is talented. a peace maker. a lover. 

he is a musician. many people play instruments, not all of them can really call themselves a musician. He can learn most songs in less then an hour, no joke. but the best thing about this guy is he writes all of his own music and his songs are good. one day he will have an album and one day people will pay to hear it. all of his songs have a story, a reason for their existence. he does quirky things like not allowing anyone hear what he is working on until it is finished. he loves to play sitting on the ground. he gets nervous even when he is just singing to me. 

one day he will sing to our kids and I can't wait for that. I fell in love with him the first time I heard him sing a song he had written for his ex-girlfriend. I know, weird. but it's true. I knew I wanted a man like that and I'll I could think about was how anyone could let him go, so I didn't. and I'm still holding on to him and will be until the end.  

one day I'll post some videos of him singing. I'm still working on him letting me.

a tribute to my soul sista on her wedding day:)

My soul sista is now a married woman:) It seriously is so crazy to think back on all the times we talked about this day and now it has come and left. I just want to give a little shout out to Staci and Andrew, you two are perfect. Always smile and keep pushing through life together. I know you won't regret the decision you two made today. It was so wonderful to be in the temple with you two and to watch you be sealed for time and all eternity. 

There was a quote me and Staci had written on our mirror for a long time when we lived together.... "one day you are going to wake up next to the most amazing man in the world and think to your self, why did I ever worry he wouldn't come?" and now he is here for the both of us. Good times we had and better times to come. Love you Staci... forever! you too Andrew:)
